Account and Data Deletion

RideHorn · Effective 25 August 2026

There are two ways to delete your account and your data. Both start the same process.

1. In the app — the fastest

Menu → Settings → Account → Delete my account. It starts immediately.

2. Without the app

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email muratcopist@gmail.com from the address on the account, subject “Account deletion”. That address is how we identify you; we will not act on a request from another address, because we could not then tell that the person asking owns the account. We complete requests within 30 days.

Reversible for 30 days

Your account becomes invisible straight away — your profile, your listings and the routes you published stop being shown to anyone. The data is held for 30 days. Signing in again during that window is enough to cancel the deletion. After 30 days the deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

What is deleted

What is anonymised and kept

Where other people have built on something of yours, your name is removed and the content stays. That is deliberate: if five riders rated a route, deleting the route deletes their work too, and deleting a stolen-motorcycle report helps exactly one person, who is not the owner.

Two notes before you delete

If you do not want to delete, you can freeze. Settings → Account → Freeze account: you become invisible, nothing is destroyed, and you lift it yourself whenever you like.

If you are a club president or own a crew, you must hand over first, or the club is left with no president. The app tells you so and offers a hand-over screen.
